Why we will not see deflation

The recession is officially over, and has been for a while. But what about the stagnation and record low interest rates? Does that mean we're going to have a "lost decade"?

We are not Japan, and our government will never allow deflation since it can print as much money as it can. Think of what would happen if everyone was suddenly given $1,000,000. Think that would get spending started and inflate prices? This article goes into good detail about this concept.

To burn or not to burn?

Should we allow a mosque to be built near ground zero? Should we allow a nondenominational church in Florida to burn the Quran? Come on people, this is America and we have a constitution. Whether you like it or not...even whether the majority likes it or not, your hurt feelings are no excuse for trampling over other people's rights.

Yes this is unsavory, and yes, it's unfortunate that it will likely endanger our troops slightly more in Afganistan. It's too bad that those primitive people take the lunatic Christian fringe as a mouthpiece for all Christians. Hmmm.

Drunk History

Here's a great way to teach your kids about historical events: History narrated by a drunk guy. This one teaches us of the life of Tesla, where we learn useful history like the fact that Thomas Edison was an asshole.

Don't Forget about Adam Morrison

Sure Kobe Bryant is the Laker's Superstar, but what about Adam Morrison? Remember what he contributed to their championship? If not, Jimmy Kimmel has a highlight reel for you.

And here is his exit interview, where, well, he doesn't quite show confidence that he's going to come back, or is even wanted.

xkcd Tetris hell!

My current favorite comic is xkcd, an online comic by Randall Munroe that is part geek/techie, part relationship observation, and part social commentary.
Here is a great panel to the left. If you get the humor in it right away, you'll love the comic. If not...well, maybe its not for you. Electrical Engineers like me eat the stuff up.
I was stoked to find that someone took the comic and actually created a playable game out of it. Check it out!
